Objectives
Training - Professional Training Certificate delegates who successfully complete this course and apply for approval as tutors to conduct the Formal Level 1, i.e. Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene Certificate (CIEH), the Primary Certificate in Food Hygiene (RIPHH) or the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate (RSPH), will meet the Awarding Bodies’ requirements for training skills.
Aim
The aim of this three-day course is to develop the tutor skills, knowledge, techniques and attitude necessary to design and deliver effective training sessions.
Course Content
The course is intensive in nature and delegates will spend some of the course designing and delivering training sessions. Some evening work will also be necessary, especially on the evening of day two.
After initial guidance and preparation, each delegate will be given the opportunity to present two training sessions relating to the Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate Course and/or the Basic Health and Safety Course, fellow delegates acting as trainees. Each session will be assessed by the tutor against set criteria laid down for the effective training of groups, and delegates will be informed of the outcome of their assessment on the final day of the course.
Who Should Attend?
The course is recommended for those who have the CIEH Advanced Certificate in Food Hygiene, the RSPH Diploma in Food Hygiene Management or the RIPHH Diploma in Food Hygiene Certificate, who wish to conduct induction or one day Level 1 Food Hygiene courses.
