Delegates who successfully complete this course and who apply for approval as tutors to conduct the Formal Level 1, i.e. Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene Certificate (CIEH), the Primary Certificate in Food Hygiene (RIPHH) or the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate (RSPH), will meet the Awarding Bodies requirements for training skills.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The course is recommended for those who have the CIEH Advanced Certificate in Food Hygiene, the RSPH Diploma in Food Hygiene Management or the RIPHH Diploma in Food Hygiene Certificate, who wish to conduct induction or 1 day Level 1 Food Hygiene courses.
The course is intensive in nature as delegates will spend some of the course designing and delivering training sessions. Some evening work will also be necessary (especially on the evening of day 2).
After initial guidance and preparation, each delegate will be given the opportunity to present 2 training sessions relating to the Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate Course and/or the Basic Health and Safety Course.
Each session will be assessed by the tutor against set criteria and delegates will be informed of the outcome of their assessment on the final day of the course.
The aim of this 3 day course is to develop the tutor skills, knowledge, techniques and attitude necessary to design and deliver effective training sessions.
