Objectives

To confirm the House Keepers role in ensuring the safety of guests/House keeping staff, agency staff and contractors whilst on site and to provide guidance in the issues most likely to result in serious injury.

Course Content

• Identification of House keepers legal responsibilities
• Ensuring guest safety; room and front of house areas
• Managing the safety of House keeping staff; risk assessments, working alone, manual handling, sharp objects, working at heights
• Managing the safety of Agency staff/Contractors; selection, permits to work, monitoring

Course Structure

A minimum of 7 hours instruction over one day. The course includes lectures enhanced by audio/visual material and practical teaching aids.  Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in discussion sessions and group activities.

Some activities will require practical participation.

Certification

Successful candidates receive a certificate from Hands Partnership.
